LAKE NONA — Following a scoreless draw against Sporting Jax, Nona FC returns to Austin-Tindall Sports Complex on Tuesday, June 2, for the first Rodeo Derby of the 2026 season against Brave SC.
The Longhorns enter the matchup atop the USL League Two Southeast Division standings with five points through three matches. Nona FC most recently played Sporting Jax to a 0-0 draw in a physical battle between the division's top two sides, outshooting the visitors 12-2 while earning its second clean sheet of the season.
Head Coach Bruno Jaeger remained encouraged by his side's performance despite the scoreless result.
"I am fully confident that we will be able to create, if not the same, more chances and take the three points that we are looking for," said Jaeger.
Through three matches, Nona FC has opened the campaign unbeaten with a 1-0-2 record. The Black and Orange currently sit level on points with Sporting Jax and Shark Coast FC but hold the top spot in the division on goal difference after their 5-1 victory over Shark Coast FC in the club's home opener.
Tuesday's contest marks the ninth all-time meeting between Nona FC and Brave SC. The Longhorns hold a 3-3-2 record in the series, with the rivalry producing several memorable moments since its inception. While Brave SC took both meetings in 2025 by identical 1-0 scorelines, Nona FC will look to reclaim bragging rights in the first Rodeo Derby of the new season.
Brave SC enters Tuesday's matchup with a 1-0-1 record and sits fourth in the Southeast Division standings. However, the Buffaloes have played one fewer match than the three teams above them and could move to the top of the table with a positive result in Lake Nona.
The visitors opened their campaign with a draw versus Brooke House before earning a 4-0 victory against Inter Gainesville KF. As one of the Southeast Division's perennial contenders, Brave SC once again figures to be in the mix for a postseason berth throughout the summer.
Tuesday night will also serve as Kids Night at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex, with Nona FC welcoming young fans and families for an evening of USL League Two action.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex in Lake Nona. The match will be streamed on sportsengineplay.com.
