Nona FC Secures Draw to Earn Second Place in Southeast Division

LAKE NONA — Nona FC (4-3-5, 17 points) battled back twice Saturday night to earn a 2-2 draw against Inter Gainesville KF, securing second place in the USL League Two Southeast Division to close out the 2026 season at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex.

With the division title already clinched by Brave SC, the Longhorns entered the regular-season finale needing only to avoid defeat to finish second in the standings.

Inter Gainesville struck first in the 10th minute after a missed penalty kick rebounded off the crossbar and fell kindly for Jeff Mesidor, who converted from close range to give the visitors an early lead.

Nona FC responded before halftime when Moah Silva converted from the penalty spot to score his first goal for the Longhorns and send the teams into the break level.

The visitors regained the advantage in the 55th minute as Daniel Martin finished off a counterattack, but the Longhorns answered once again through Andrey Gentil, who calmly converted a penalty kick to level the match at 2-2 and secure the point Nona FC needed.

The draw concludes Nona FC's fifth USL League Two season. After an up-and-down campaign, the Longhorns finished second in the Southeast Division with 17 points.
