LAKE NONA - Nona FC is set for its 2025 regular-season home finale when it takes on Inter Gainesville KF at Austin-Tindall Sports Complex on July 3 at 7 p.m.
The Longhorns (5-4-0, Southeast Division) conclude their home slate after falling to Rodeo Derby-rivals Brave SC last time out, after Breno Correira’s strike late in the first half.
Inter Gainesville (4-5-0, Southeast Division) sits in fourth place in the Southeast Division standings, posting an even goal difference after both scoring and conceding 11 goals this season.
Gainesville travel to Nona after snapping a five-game losing streak and ending a four-game scoreless run against Brave SC on June 28, winning 2-0. Inter’s Joachim Kyei scored the winner in his first start for the club, followed up by club-leading goalscorer Phanor Shelby finishing his third goal of the campaign just one minute later to seal the victory.
The result marks the squad’s second clean sheet of the season after shutting out eventual 2025 Southeast Division champions Sporting Club JAX, 1-0 on June 1.
Thursday’s match features the only two Southeast Division teams left with games to play who have a positive or even goal difference, with the Black and Orange holding a +3 advantage and Gainesville having an even 0 goal difference against its opponents.
