Nona FC Prepare for Crucial Away Rematch at Brooke House FC

LAKE NONA - After a hard-fought Rodeo Derby on Saturday, the Longhorns now look towards a rematch with league leaders Brooke House FC on June 11 at 7 p.m.

Nona FC (3-2-0, 2nd Southeast Division) will face off against Brooke House FC (3-1-2, 1st Southeast Division) for the second time this season, when it travels to Showalter Field for the second time in three weeks.

The Black and Orange sit in second place in the Southeast Division, ahead of Sporting Club Jax by virtue of a better points-per-match ratio (1.80 vs. 1.67). Nona is behind Brooke House by two points, but have an extra game to play on their rivals from Maitland.

The Longhorns come into the match with the best defense in the division, having only conceded three goals so far. The next-best back lines hail from Brave SC and Inter Gainesville KF, on seven goals apiece.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. BROOKE HOUSE FC

Nona FC will aim to continue its perfect streak against Brooke House as the all-time series currently sits at 3-0-0 in favor of the Black and Orange.

The Longhorns will look to build on their standout performance of the season when they handily defeated Brooke House 3-0 on away turf on May 21, just a few weeks ago. In that encounter, Christian Kraus and Brandon Nyagurungo starred in a dominant Black and Orange affair at Showalter Field. Kraus opened the scoring early with a resilient finish in the fourth minute, taking the lead into the halftime break. After the restart, substitute Nyagurungo pounced on a loose ball to double the lead after 75 minutes. In the closing stages, the goalscorers connected to put the match away, with Nyagurungo feeding Kraus a low cross that was met by a one-time finish in the 90th minute.
